Today I am doing a full and in-depth review on the popular Blog by Number Course. This is one of the first few blogging courses I’ve ever taken and I’ll be doing a deep dive on what it is, what it could do for you and if it would be worth your money and time to take it.

What is Blog by Number

Blog by number is a beginner level blogging course, created by Suzi Whitford of Start a Mom Blog.

It’s best for those who are in the early stages of blogging.

Suzi basically takes your hand and walks you step by step, creating a professional looking blog.

She helps you figure out what your niche should be (if you don’t already have it nailed down) and how to come up with a clever and catchy name.

Then she’ll show you how to use WordPress, how to set up your hosting, import a theme, set up your plugins and which ones are absolute musts.

She’ll also go over what legal pages you need, how to do it yourself for free and where you can get really good paid-for options if you’d rather go that route.

She literally walks you through every step of creating and setting up a professional blog, along with tons of tips on what to write about, creating click-worthy post titles and branding your site.

Finally, she goes over the basics of Pinterest, Facebook and how to find keywords for your posts so that you can get actual traffic and eyes on your posts!

Is This a Fluff Course?

Nope! I’ll be honest. When I first started blogging, there was tons of talk about a particular blogging course.

I paid $800 for this other course when it open, excited to finally start my blog!

Once I enrolled, I was so disappointed!

There was nothing about building your blog or figuring out all the hard beginner blogging stuff.

(I won’t mention the name, as I refuse to slander someone else’s course, and just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean that someone else won’t find it useful.)

But the super expensive course was all about advanced business strategy. Which is great and all, but the title was misleading, and I thought the course would teach me to start a fantastic blog.

Because let’s face it, blogging is hard. And getting started can be overwhelming and confusing.

But Blog by Number is a fraction of the cost and is completely chock full of everything you need to know to get started blogging and start seeing actual traction.

It’s loaded with step by step video tutorials, which means even those who have NO TECH mind at all, can still get everything up and running all by themselves. (Or with Suzi that is.)

This is what I thought I was buying with that other expensive course!

Anyway, bottom line, this is definitely a meaty course, filled with tons of information on getting your mom blog up, running and looking amazing!

AND it’ll get you in the blogging mindset!

What I Liked Most About Blog By Number

Suzi is so upbeat and genuine and it totally shows in her video tutorials. It’s like sitting next to a close friend who is showing you the ropes of blogging.

And like I said above, it’s loaded with tons of useful and actionable information.

Meaning, you are totally getting your money’s worth. Which is huge for me! (I hate wasting money!)

What I Didn’t Like About Blog by Number

There isn’t really much to dislike about Blog by Number. It’s affordable, packed with value and Suzi is so stinkin’ lovable and knowledgeable you’ll enjoy watching all the videos.

I will say that this is a beginner blogger course, and not really meant for those with established blogs already making a decent income with their blog.

What if You Can’t Afford the Course Right Now?

I get it! When you are starting a blog it’s hard to justify spending extra money if you don’t have it.

There are 2 things you can do.

  1. Go grab the Free Blog Plan. (It’s loaded with super useful information on mapping out a money-making blog!)
  2. Consider just the ebook version of blog by number.

I still totally recommend the course if you can figure out a way to swing it. I can’t tell you how frustrated I was trying to figure out all the technical stuff my first month or two blogging.

And the videos in the course just make it so easy and fast.

I believe that if you are trying to build a profitable blog, investing in knowledge will always lead to a quicker return. (Meaning, you’ll likely make your money back, plus some, faster)

But the Blog by Number ebook still has so much great info and will help you come up with a solid blog plan and even comes with really cool check sheets and time management advice to get as much done as possible during nap times! (Great for busy stay at home moms!)

Do I recommend Blog by Number?

If you are a newer blogger and haven’t started making a huge income yet, yes!

This course is the best “start a blog” course I’ve taken and will help you figure out how to get your blog set up and ready to go in no time!

You should check out the full information page to see just how much fun stuff comes with the course!

If you follow her advice and do the hard work, you’ll earn the cost of the course back quickly.

Make sure to grab the free blog plan! You’ll love it and it’s so much fun to look at.
